CBD is short for Cannabidiol, so this is about CBD. Maybe you already heard about it? Otherwise….. Keep Reading
First of all… CBD does not make you high and it is not psychoactive like THC, tetrahydrocannabinol. CBD is a chemical compound that is found in cannabis plants. There are a lot of health benefits in this oil that is extracted from hemp.
Some say that CBD can help against anxiety, depression and even cancer and Alzheimer’s. Besides that, it can help you if you have trouble with your body weight and sleep issues.
Some of this almost sounds too good to be true. So, of course, I will supply my Swedish and Norwegian friends with some sources: You can find way better descriptions in there than the one I just gave. And also way more knowledge that is backing up the science behind the effects of CBD.
There is probably a lot more to say about this product. I have mostly used it for fun, and it is hard to talk about some magical medicine when you haven’t used it more than me. I used it when I had the flu, before exams and also when I hiked the Camino de Santiago.
I must say, that the taste is not the best, but I heard, that it is possible to get something that tastes better. I felt like it helped with all the three above mentioned situations, but then again, I only used for a short period, so I probably didn’t get the full effects of it.
I can’t wait to try it a bit more as a supplement to all my other daily health activities. Another health supplement I started taking and I highly recommend is spirulina. It is basically seaweed, but it doesn’t taste bad, it is healthy, and I heard a lot of other ultrarunners and vegans also use it.
That was it for today.
